Bruno Mars gets Emmy nomination for Super Bowl halftime show

Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers put on some kind of show at halftime of the Super Bowl earlier this year. At least Emmy voters thought so—the performance got three nominations in Thursday morning’s announcement in Hollywood.

When Beyonce performed at halftime of last year’s Super Bowl, that shot got two nominations, winny one Emmy.

So, whose performance was better?

Was it Bruno Mars?

Or was it Beyonce?

And while we’re at it did the NBA or Turner Sports—or both—fall asleep at the wheel and not nominate the halftime show of this year’s All-Star game? Or should be blame Emmy voters, who might not have known much about Trombone Shortly, Janelle Monae, Pharrell and Earth Wind & Fire:
