Back in the day Ice Cube once rapped “You better check yo self before you wreck yo self.”
That’s a line Jesus “Half Animal” Villa should have listened to before his attempt at a world record.
Villa—a former acrobat with Cirque du Soleil—was attempting to get recognition by the Guinness Book of World Records by jumping through ten panes of glass in the fastest time. (Yes, there is a record for that).
And, during his attempt at the world record for jumping through window panes, this happened:
The outcome of the July incident (which is just now becoming viral): Villa broke his neck, and is still recovering.
So instead of earning his sixth Guinness World Record with his latest attempt (among his records is the longest front flip over a vehicle), Guinness is now attempting to raise $100,000 to cover his medical costs.
As of today the grand total raised, via fundazr: $6,063.
And should he heal from these injuries and attempt to come back with another crazy attempt at another crazy record, we’ll start calling the “Half Animal” by his new name:
“Half man, half a brain.”
