Here’s the situation: Copperas Cove (the Texas high school that gave us Robert Griffin III) had just kicked a field goal with one second remaining for a 41-38 lead over A&M Consolidated. The team decided on a squib kick, expecting the remaining second would run off quickly.
But after a couple of reverses and laterals, Derrick Dick of Consolidated found himself with the ball — and daylight up the left side if the field. The rest is purely spectacular.
An amazing ending.
