So why not on top of a hamburger?
That’s what Sonic rolled out in New Orleans and parts of Louisiana this week, a big burger with ingredients that appeal to the locals: Tabasco spicy mayo, pepper jack cheese, something called Onion Tanglers and a packet of Tony Chachere’s Creole Seasoning.
And to know you’re eating a Saint’s themed burger: The words Who Dat! are imprinted on the top bun (using tapioca starch and USDA-approved food colorings, of course).
Eating a burger with a logo imprinted on the top would take some getting used to. But if we lived in New Orleans we would have eaten one for the Blacktopxchange team, and provided a review of the new burger. Perhaps we’ll get a local to provide their thoughts.
In this day and age where wearing your teams colors is a hot thing to do, we’re sure this burger will be a huge success.
