Back in the day when we were 14 and 15-year-old wannabe ballers, a big playground accomplishment was trying to jump and touch the rim. If you actually grabbed the rim, that gave you a little playground cred.

This video, which we just discovered, features players on the 2013 USA Basketball Men’s U16 National Team that won the gold medal last month at the FIBA Americas championships in Maldonado, Uruguay.

Again, these kids are age 16 and under, and among those featured is Seventh Woods, a 14-year-old from Columbia, S.C., whose ninth grade  highlight reel last season has more than 8 million views on YouTube.

These kids could immediately upgrade the NBA dunk contest.

Our rim-grabbing feats when we were that age feel horribly inadequate.
