Having already inked two of the biggest current players in their respective sports in the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Kevin Durant and the New York Yankees Robinson Cano, Jay Z and his Roc Nation Sports agency now reportedly have their eyes on the University of South Carolina’s Jadeveon Clowney.

If you’re not familiar with Clowney, he’s the hottest defensive prospect to play college football since Lawrence Taylor. The 6-foot-6, 280-pound defensive lineman who runs a 4.40-second 40-yard dash is projected as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.

If the name sounds only vaguely familiar, it’s due to this hit in the above video against Michigan in last year’s Outback Bowl.

Jay Z still needs to get certified to do business with the NFL, but if he’s able to snag the top overall pick in next year’s draft, that would be not only be a major coup for his sports representation agency, but it would also prove, once again, beyond a reasonable doubt, that you can’t knock the hustle of his sports empire state of mind.
